It was matchup between the top two teams in the East, Washington and Toronto, and it did not disappoint. The game finished with 10 goals, 86 shots, and 8 rounds in the shootout, with the eventual winnier going to Bryan Allen of the Maple Leafs.

The Toronto Maple Leafs today announced the acquisition of top forward Pavol Demitra, one day after having their four game winning streak snapped at the hands of LA, a perrenial bottom feeder in the West.

GM Zwack acquires two familiar faces from his days as GM of the Chicago Blackhawks, and believes Demitra and Stajan are even better players nw than they were in Chicago.
